VC10 K4 Tanker in the snow
RAF Vickers VC1O K4 Tanker. A derivative of the successful Vickers VC10 airliner,
the aircraft’s relative high speed and stability made it ideal for long range in-flight refuelling missions.
VC10 tankers were operated by the RAF from the late 1970s until the type’s retirement in 2013.
