Lancaster AJ-J has just released its ‘Upkeep’ bouncing bomb towards the Möhne dam.
This was the fifth aircraft to attack, in the early hours of the 17th May 1943, and it delivered the knock-out blow to the dam wall.
‘Operation Chastise’ was the code name for the daring mission to destroy the great dams of the Ruhr Valley.
Two dams were successfully breached, The Möhne and Eder.

The Greeting cards are all one size 8″x4″
Here at SWA Fine Art we have produced a range of greeting cards and Christmas cards.
